The quadratic response formalism was used to derive an expression for the photoelectron and the Auger current in the sudden approx. The formulation contains a general theor. description of the phenomenon of incomplete relaxation. It also provides the 1st theor. approach to recent Auger-photoelectron coincidence measurements. The information that can be gained from this type of expts. are discussed.
