Anal. expressions for the total energy deriv. with respect to the magnetic moment rotations were derived in the relativistic local-spin d. functional approach and multiple scattering theory. The spin-wave stiffness const. as well as the gap in the spin-wave spectrum due to relativistic anisotropy effects is calcd. in KKR-ASA approxn. for bcc. Fe. This is compared with other theor. calcns. and available exptl. data.
