The relativistic self-consistent LMTO method has been used to calculate the optical properties of the actinides Ac, Th, Pa, U, Np and Pu. The complex dielectric function, optical conductivity and electron energy loss spectra were calculated in the energy range from 0 to 25 eV. The theoretical results are compared with available experimental data.
