We wish T.P. Martin all the best for his retirement. We thank him for all the work he has done.

The investigation of the unique properties of clusters in the gas phase is continued in the Kern group.
We study the properties of tiny clusters containing from a few to several thousands of atoms or molecules. The size dependence of some of these properties allows one to determine the geometric or electronic structure of the clusters. In this way, the evolution of the cluster properties towards those of bulk matter can be followed on an atom-by-atom basis. The field very interdisciplinary:  it attracts atomic, molecular, solidstate, and even nuclear chemists and physicists.

These pages are created to provide information about ourselves and our work. It is divided into four sections. The Projects section provides information about our results and publications. A detailled description of our apparatus is given under Facilities . Papers contains a database with references to all publications produced by T.P. Martin´s group. The Links section provides links to other cluster-groups and related sites.

We hope you enjoy your visit to our group. Please contact us if you wish more detailed information.
