The Synthetic Nanostructures team at the Max-Planck-Institute for Solid
State Research is part of von Klitzing's group.
Investigations of synthetic particles complement the research on nanostructures prepared by
semiconductor technology. The team started in the 1980s with the
investigation of conducting polymers and switching molecules and
presently concentrates on carbon nanotubes, vanadium pentoxide fibers
and clusters/nanoparticles. Click here for a brief introduction into carbon
nanotubes.
