The conference Electronic Structure of Novel Materials will take place at Ringberg Castle, September 11-14, 2011. Main topics will be iron pnictides, cuprates, organics and other novel materials as well as new many-body methods for treating strongly correlated materials.

The conference will start with registration between 16.00 and 22.00 on Sunday September 11 and the talks will start Monday September 11 at 9 am. The conference will end after lunch on Wednesday September 14. We expect about 40 participants. Apart from invited talks there will also be a poster session where everybody can present a poster. If there is sufficient interest, we will arrange a hike in the nearby mountains on Sunday September 11 before registration.

Ringberg Castle is beautifully located in the Bavarian Alps above the village Kreuth, just south of Tegernsee, about 60 km south of Munich and about 300 km from Stuttgart. It was built by Herzog Luitpold a relative of King Ludwig of Bayern who built Neuschwanstein (the model for the fairy-tale castle at Disney Land).
