A recent paper (B.S. Wang et al., Phys. Rev. B 39, 12789 (1989)) reports results of careful pseudopotential calculations of optical-phonon deformation potentials in GaAs and GaP. The authors point out that the comparison to other theoretical calculations is complicated due to confusion of notation and definitions.
