The effective on-site Coulomb interaction U and the nearest-neighbor interaction V for a C60 solid are calculated. The authors obtain U=0.8-1.3 eV and V=0.3-0.5 eV. The photoemission spectrum for a finite Hubbard chain is calculated and an appreciable broadening of the spectrum is found for these parameters, due to many-body effects.
