Electron-phonon coupling and superconductivity in strongly correlated systems

Electron-phonon interaction is often studied for systems where the electrons are assumed not to interact with each other. For many systems of interest, however, the electron-electron interaction is important. For such systems the interplay between the electron-phonon and electron-electron interactions can be essential. We have studied this for

high Tc cuprates and

alkali-doped fullerides.
